Embrace Life

  As the long weekend winds down, I ponder the tragedy and near tragedy I learned about this weekend.  When the thoughts running through your head are stuck on one (negative) thing, close your eyes and breathe deeply; let those negative thoughts go.  Recognize you can't stop them coming in, but visualize them leaving as soon as they appear.  Grab whatever you need; a happy memory, a book of positive affirmations, a religious document, a glimpse of a baby's smiling face and let that be the thought that roams your mind for awhile.  Then reach out and call someone (positive!)
